Your plan
SwarmSystem · Website Rebuild Proposal

Ninety four five star reviews. And when a homeowner asked for a roofer, Google did not say your name.

Prepared for Frank at Ruddy's Roofing. Round Rock, TX.

IN SHORT
Overview · What this is

The whole plan, on one screen.

A plan for one thing: rebuilding ruddysroofing.com so the assistants your customers now ask can actually find you, and what that costs.

From kickoff to live

What you asked for

  • Understand what this AI thing is, in plain English.
  • Raise your visibility, because this has been the worst year since you started.
  • Find out why you are doing badly on Google Maps.
  • Know what the monthly actually includes, line by line.
  • See a lower option, not just the big one.
  • Talk to other local businesses who have done this.

What we recommend

Rebuild your site around the towns you already say you serve and the work you actually do. Seven town pages, including the five you name in your own page descriptions and have no page for. Four service pages, because today a homeowner cannot read what you do anywhere on your site. Your six current pages rebuilt and kept. Then the machine readable part underneath, which is the reason Gemini named three other roofers and not you. Built to keep learning after it is live, rather than to sit there the way the one you have now has sat there.

Everything under this is the working. What you said, what we found, every page and what happens to it, and the money line by line.

CHECKED
Step 1 · Checking your pages

We counted every page. All 7 of them.

FIXABLE
Step 2 · What's holding it back

What we found, and you can click every one.

What we foundSee it
You ran a scan the night before we spoke. Google was asked who to call for a roofer in Round Rock, and it named KangaRoof, Summit Roofing and Hall Roofing
Your name does not appear once in the answer. Not lower down, not at all. You told me that when you type Ruddy's Roofing into Gemini you are on there, and that is true. This is the other question, the one a homeowner actually asks, where they do not already know your name.
your scan
Every page on your site says you serve Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto, Austin, Cedar Park and Leander. Not one of those towns has a page
The claim is in the description of all six pages, which is the line Google shows under your name. There is nothing behind it. When somebody in Georgetown asks their phone for a roofer, there is no page for Google to read.
/llms.txt
Your site tells Google you are an "Organization". It does not give it your address, your phone number, or the towns you cover
This is the machine readable card underneath every page, the part an assistant reads before it decides who to name. Yours has a name, a logo and a website, and nothing else. A roofer with a phone number in that card gets read as a roofer with a phone number.
/
Your Google listing has never had a single post
Not one, ever. Posting is most of how the map decides who to show first. This is the direct answer to the person who told you that you were doing badly on Maps.
/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJ-Zk6kKfRRIYRm_UC2uZdjd8
Your Google listing is not verified
An unverified listing is trusted less, ranks lower, and can be edited by strangers. You have ninety four reviews sitting on it. This is the cheapest fix on this page and it is free.
/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJ-Zk6kKfRRIYRm_UC2uZdjd8
Your Google listing has no services on it
Nothing says you do replacements, repairs, hail damage or insurance claims. That list is one of the few places Google lets you say plainly what you do, and yours is empty.
/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJ-Zk6kKfRRIYRm_UC2uZdjd8
Your Google listing says twenty five years in the business. You told me it is twelve
You caught this one yourself on the call. It reads: friendly experienced roofers specializing in replacements and repairs with twenty five years in the business. The assistants copy that line, which is why the wrong number came back at you when you looked.
/maps/place/?q=place_id:ChIJ-Zk6kKfRRIYRm_UC2uZdjd8
A homeowner cannot read what you do anywhere on your site
You have a story page, a claims page, a testimonials page, a hail warning page and a contact page. There is no page for a roof replacement, a roof repair, or a free inspection, which are the three things people search for.
/sitemap.xml
The file the assistants read to understand your site lists your six pages and something called "New Widget"
It is a real file at a real address and you can open it. That is everything an assistant is told about a twelve year old roofing company with ninety four five star reviews.
/llms.txt
Four of your six pages have no headline in the code, including your front page
A page needs one main heading so Google knows what it is about. Your front page does not have one. It is a fifteen minute fix that nobody has made in twelve years.
/
What the assistants cannot find about you
  • You are not named when a homeowner asks for a roofer in Round Rock
  • Your Google listing is not verified
  • Your Google listing has never been posted to
  • Your Google listing does not say what services you offer
  • Your site is slow on a phone, which is where most homeowners open it

Every one of these is on your site right now. The links open it.

IN SCOPE
Step 3 · Built around your goals

Your call, turned into a plan.

What you saidWhat we are doing about it
"I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to raise visibility"The scan you ran the night before we spoke asked Google one question: who should I call for a roofer in Round Rock. It named three other companies and never said your name. That is the thing to fix, and everything below is how.
"Might as well be Chinese to me"You never have to learn it. You approve two designs, read the words once, and say go. That is the whole job on your side. Nothing on this page asks you to log into anything.
"When we redo the website, does all those things find it?"Yes, and it is one job, not four. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Siri all read the same things: your pages, your Google listing, and a machine readable file underneath. Right now yours says you are an Organization with no address, no phone and no service area. We fix that once and every assistant reads it.
"Someone reached out to me the other day and said how crappy I was doing on Google Maps"They were right, and we found why. Your listing has never had a single post. It has no services on it. It is not verified. And it is set as a shop at one address instead of a business that drives to six towns. All four are fixable and none of them cost you a page.
"I wasn't even getting those emails"Every form gets tested before launch and then watched. You get the email, a text if you want one, and a page that tells the homeowner it went through so they do not call somebody else thinking you ignored them.
"Maybe one out of 10 do it"You have ninety four reviews and two of your last five came in over a year ago. There is a system that texts every customer the day the job finishes and puts the review box one tap away. It is an add on rather than part of the monthly, and it is priced further down where you asked about it.
"I'm thinking about turning over to my son"Then this matters more, not less. Everything we build is in your name on your own account. Whoever runs it next gets the site, the pages, the photos and the login, and nothing has to be bought back from anybody.
"a detailed breakdown of what what the monthly thing includes"It is further down this page, itemised, with the cancellation window in plain words. It starts when the site goes live and it is not part of what you would be approving today.
"let me know if there's any other tiers going down"There is one monthly here, itemised further down, and it is the one Justin quoted you on the phone. We are not showing you the bigger lanes, because the parts that make them worth the money are not built yet and we will not sell you something we cannot hand over. It is month to month with fourteen days notice, so it is not a commitment you have to be sure about today.

Your words, not ours. We wrote them down as you said them.

ESTIMATED
Step 4 · The cost of leaving it

You already know this year has been bad. Here is the part nobody showed you.

Every hour we bill is on this page. There is no line called miscellaneous.

INCLUDED
Step 6c · What comes with the partnership

You keep the reviews, the name, and the twelve years.

Two designs to choose from, built on your real pages before a word of the rest is written. 2 rounds of changes after you pick.

You own the site, the pages, the words and the photos. It sits on your account with your domain still at your registrar, and that is true from the first day, not after some period. If your son takes the business over, he gets the login and nothing has to be bought back.

We build this with AI, and that is why it costs what it costs and moves as fast as it does. After launch there is a back end editor for changes, and we drive it for you as part of any monthly you are on. You do not log into it. Now the honest part, because you should hear it now and not after you sign. It is not a WordPress dashboard you poke at on a Sunday afternoon. If you ever want to make changes yourself, you have two roads. Stay on our hosting and keep using us for the changes. Or download every file we built, put it on a server you pay for, and edit it with a tool like Claude Code. The second road is not hard and it is an afternoon to set up, but it works differently than the editor you have now, and your son would take to it faster than either of us.

The other thing worth knowing is that this one does not sit still. Most websites are a brochure that was out of date in a year. This is built to keep learning. Every month it takes in what people actually asked before they called you, which towns and which questions brought them in, and where an assistant sent somebody to another roofer instead. Then the pages get adjusted to match, and the machine readable part underneath gets updated with them. That is the part that compounds. A site built in 2019 is worth less every year that goes by. This one is worth more, because the thing the assistants read keeps getting better while your competitors leave theirs alone. Straight answer on the catch: the learning runs on the monthly. Drop the monthly and you still own the site and it still works, it just stops getting smarter.

PLANNED
Step 7 · The move, without the horror story

The move off WordPress, without losing what you have.

Your current site stays up the whole time. The new one is built beside it and we only point your domain at it once you have seen it and said go.

1 pages come off the site. Their addresses do not go dark. Each one forwards to the page that replaces it, so anybody who saved a link, and Google, still land somewhere real.

Every address you have today lands somewhere. None of them are left to 404.

ANSWERED
You asked

When we redo the website, does all those things find it?

Yes, and you do not pick one. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Siri all read the same three things: the words on your pages, your Google listing, and the machine readable file underneath. Siri runs on Gemini now, so that one is already covered by the same work. There is no separate job for each. There is one job, done properly, and they all read it.

You asked this on the call.

ANSWERED
You asked

Is that because I don't have the location on the website?

Partly, and that is the smaller half. The bigger half is your Google listing. It has never been posted to, it has no services on it, it is not verified, and it is set up as a shop at one address rather than a business that drives to six towns. Fixing the listing is included in the monthly. Adding the town pages is part of the build. They work together, which is why the map has not moved.

You asked this on the call.

ANSWERED
You asked

Is there an automated system that helps generate more reviews?

Yes, and it is a separate line rather than part of the monthly. It is $97 a month. On top of that, the texts and the emails themselves are billed straight to your card by GoHighLevel, which is the software that sends them. Those run a few cents a message, we do not mark them up, and we never touch that bill. Here is what you get for it. A text goes out the day the job finishes, with a link that opens straight to the review box. You said maybe one in ten write one when you ask. Asking by text the same day usually runs three or four times that, because you are catching them while the roof is still the best thing that happened to them that month. Your crew can also carry a card with a code on it, which works even better, but that part is up to you.

You asked this on the call.

DECLINED
What we are not doing

We do not do social media. Not Facebook, not Instagram, not TikTok, and not later either.

This is not us saving it for phase two. We do not sell it and we do not support it, so there is nobody here to hand it to and we will not quote you for it. You said you did not know you had a Facebook page and have not signed into it in years. Social helps a little, and a little is not worth paying anybody for while Google has never been told your phone number and your listing has never had a post. Those are worth real money. If you want the Facebook page cleaned up, your daughter can do it in an afternoon or you can hire somebody local who does only that. We would rather tell you plainly than take money for work we are not set up to do.

SCHEDULED
Step 8 · Timeline and terms

Four to six weeks. You approve every step.

WhenWhat happensYou
Week 1Kickoff call. We take access, and we get photos of your crew, your trucks and your finished roofsOne hour on the phone
Week 2Two design directions, built on your real pages and your real photos, not a template previewYou pick one
Weeks 3 to 4Every page written and built. Services first, then the towns, then the restYou read the words once
Weeks 5 to 6Old addresses forwarded, forms tested end to end, call tracking wired, and it goes live on your own accountYou say go
NOT YET
Step 8b · After it is live

What it costs after. You are not buying it today.

You are approving a website. This is here so you can see what the month after looks like before you start, instead of finding out once you are already in it.

Once it is live, keeping it working is $497 a month.

Done for you

You do not log in, you do not write anything, and you do not post anything. That is what done for you means here.

You will see exactly what it is producing

You said you always ask people how they found you. This does that for you, automatically, on every call. It is included, not an extra.

  • Call tracking on every number on the site. Recorded, and attributed to the page that produced it
  • A live dashboard you open whenever you want, not a PDF once a month
  • It is the same screen we look at. There is no client version with the bad weeks taken out
  • Which towns and which pages are producing calls, so you stop guessing about the radio
  • We tie into your CRM if you run one, and then the dashboard shows revenue by channel to the dollar

That last one needs two things from you: a CRM connected, and somebody marking jobs won or lost. If you do not run one, we can still show you calls and where they came from, but not dollars. We would rather say that now than show you a number nobody stands behind.

Hosting is included in the monthly at no extra charge. On its own, with no monthly, it is $49 a month. Either way it sits on your own account and your domain stays in your name where it belongs.

Month to month, and you can stop any time. 14 days notice and it ends. No year to sign and no penalty for leaving. We would rather earn the next month than hold you to it.

YOURS
Step 9 · How we work

You own all of it. Leaving is easy.

Leave any time, fourteen days notice. We hand you the full site files and a one page moving guide, and your domain never leaves your registrar. Nothing goes dark because you stopped paying us.

How you judge us at day 90. Every one of these is inside our control, which is why we are willing to be held to them.
  • Every page on this plan is published and you can open it
  • Every old address forwards to the page that replaced it, so nothing you have earned is lost
  • Your Google listing is verified, has services on it, and is being posted to
  • The description on your listing says twelve years, because that is the truth
  • Calls and form fills are tracked, so you can see which page produced them
  • You are named when somebody asks an assistant for a roofer in Round Rock by name

We will not promise you a number of calls by a date. On a site this new that is a guess, and you have probably been sold one before.

REFERENCES
Step 9b · People you can call

You asked to talk to somebody who did this. Here are three, and their real addresses.

You asked this on the call and here it is. Three owners who have been through the whole thing. Two are in Texas and one is in California, and none of them are roofers, because we do not have another roofer in the Austin area right now and we are not going to make one up for you. Write to them yourself. We are not on the thread and we do not want to be.
